What I love about Alexander McQueen is all of his designs are so different and unique. This new style is called Empire bag.. a rock solid metal body with Swarovski crystal detailing.

There is no doubt about it. The Louis Vuitton Monogram Alma is a timeless classic. The unique shape and LV print makes this bag’s identity unmistakable. When you see this bag wandering down the street, you know exactly what it is. Lately, however, the Alma has been taking on a different look. First, the Alma became available in Cassis and Grenade in the Epi Leather (read about it in Deysa’s post: Louis Vuitton Epi Alma in Shades of Purple). And, of course, it is also available in Ivoire and Black.
I absolutely loved how Louis Vuitton was making the Alma in such pretty colors. But I came across something just recently that is even better. How do you all feel about Almas that look like CANDY? Yep, that’s right. The Louis Vuitton Alma is now available in the Vernis collection over at Eluxury. And the colors are absolutely to die for! Right now, the Vernis Alma is available in the following delicious colors: Violette, Pomme d’Amour, and Amarante. They look so tempting, like you could almost bite into them!
For those of you out there that may not be familiar with the Louis Vuitton Alma, this bag measures 15″ x 11″ x 7″. Salvatore Ferragamo SpA is hoping to jump-start stagnant sales in Japan by cutting the retail prices of some pre-fall and fall-winter items by an average of 10 percent.
What’s on sale? The Italian company is offering markdowns on selected merchandise. Those items include five styles each of women’s handbags, women’s shoes and men’s shoes, a combination of pieces from the pre-fall and fall-winter collections, a spokeswoman said. For example, a women’s tote bag will be marked down 11.8 percent to 75,000 yen, or $711, from an original price tag of 85,000 yen, or $806. The cost of a pair of women’s driving shoes will be cut 3.3 percent to 58,000 yen, or $550, from 60,000 yen, or $569.
Have you gals busted out your beach totes from the back of the closet, this year? If so, what type of beach bag do you own? I for one have yet to go to the beach and I haven’t updated my beach tote since last year either. I know it’s called procrastination, but besides that, I have yet to find a great tote. Well, I did run into this Foley + Corinna tote online. I don’t think I’m considering buying it, but I do think it would make a great one. To start off it’s made out of all reliable (and durable) canvas, and its décor of shiny silver leather trim adds character to the bag. Take a look at the picture above, if this bags leather is already bright, imagine how much attention you’re going to grab at the beach as the sun reflects off your bag, I don’t know about you girls, but I sure like that idea! Its 19”x16”x7” is an ideal beach tote size if you carry as many towels, sun products, and changes of clothing as I do. Buckles, metal feet, and flat shoulder straps are other great features found the Summer Fun Tote. Although this is a great bag, overall, I’m not sure if the $395 price tag is convincing enough, what do you ladies think?

(average: 3.80)One of the latest arrivals to Bag Borrow or Steals’ “What’s New” page, is this gorgeous quilted pleated tote by Chanel. Personally, I am a total fan of Chanel. I admire each and every piece they produce, whether they’re awkwardly designed or yet another timeless piece of luxury. Take this tote for example; although its design isn’t exactly my taste, I seriously can’t dislike it. I admire the heavy quilted leather pattern found throughout the bag, and the very enhanced pleat adds a great touch of character to the bag. Maybe if this bags silhouette wasn’t so round or “basket” shaped, I would find more interest in it. The double rounded shoulder straps seem a bit boring as well; I definitely prefer chained Chanel straps a lot more. I can’t give you a precise retail value of this handbag, but your definitely looking in the two thousands, or so. If I had a couple of “K’s” to spend on a brand new Chanel bag, I would definitely go for a quilted leather flap bag instead, not so much this one. What do you ladies think of Chanel’s pleated tote, do you like it?
