Lanvin recently re-introduced the popular Kansas bag with an exotic twist.
Lanvin bags have won over the hearts of many with the functional design mixed in with the classic everyday look. A couple of our favorites Lanvin in action pics are of Courtney Cox Arquette and of socialite fashion heiress Margherita Missoni. And as how they demonstrate in the pictures, this bag looks great for almost any occasion: jeans and t-shirt for a casual day around town or match it with little more sophisticated look in a tailored pencil skirt suit. Whatever you choose this bag is purely superb.
Now add the silver grey metallic finish python to the mix and this bag is gold.
The unstructured body is made up completely from metal feet-to-mouth with python material with a silver finish that really catches ones attention. Also features double brown shoulder straps that work just fine for carrying over the shoulder or on your arm. The mouth of the bag keeps your items secure with a interior zip closure. The interior is lined with the signature Lanvin lining and features one single leather pocket on the back wall.
The metallic python comes with a steeper price tag than the original canvas versions. This beauty can be spotted at mytheresa.com with a $3,497 price tag.

Everyone has that one (or two, or three, or yes even four) bag(s) that they love to death, that they couldn’t ever imagine any other bag coming close in comparison, or well at least ever chucking it in closet dooming it for years, only to substitute it for any other. Trends come and go, but the bag you love is classic, timeless, or even just plain ideal for your everyday needs. You have met your match. It may be your Chanel 2.55 bag, Balenciaga City, YSL Muse, Coach Signature Tote, Hermes Birkin, etc. For me, well besides my GSH City and (at this moment) Nightingale, the love in my life that I can’t seem to part with, ever since I saw it sitting neatly upon a pedestal in the Barney’s window, is my Lanvin Ludvine bag. (satin version pictured on momist). Not exactly the same version pictured above, mine is dressed in a luxe squishy black leather with vintage brown goat flat handles and features a totally chic lucite frame. Nonetheless, if they were standing next to each other, one would obviously come to the conclusion that they are closely related if not twins. I will wear it until its death..
The version resting in my closet is long sold out, however the style lives.. but not for too long because it’s in the sale section of bluefly for 20% off!
The form of the bag (pictured above) is created out of black woven straw and features silver-tone hardware. For easy access there is a large front patch pocket with twist-lock closure, that’s ideal for everything you want close (cellphone, keys, tickets, etc). The double rolled leather straps has a 6.5” drop, so to fits comfortably over the shoulder. The framed bag opens wide enough (about 11″,) to reveal everything in your bag within reach. No sifting for your wallet. Also, the lucite frame has a magnet built in, so it snaps shut with the slightest tap. Measurements: 15.5” at widest x 9.5” tall at center x 7” deep.

Here we have one of the latest designer disasters, the Fendi XL Fringed Zebra Baguette Tote. There are plenty of gorgeous bags by Fendi but the tacky clash of rainbow colored fringes and zebra makes this one look like a mess. I’ll start by saying that I’ve never been a fan of fringes on bags and never will be. Though as I’ve mentioned previously, exotic animal prints have always appealed to me and with that being said, I think this piece by Fendi would be great without the fringes. Or Fendi could have at least used matching black and white ones. And it gets worse because this is a ridiculously expensive one with a price tag of $5,420. But I’m assuming that the price is high because it’s made of pony hair.
I’m sure anyone who wears this one will get many stares. And I don’t mean that in a positive way. It measures 20″x 11″x 4″, which makes it stand out even more. But anyways, other main details on this XL bag include a suede interior, a multicolor shoulder strap that can be adjusted from a drop length of 14″ to 20″, and brushed gold metal hardware.
